Just watched as my three-year-old daughter worked up the courage to let go of me in the pool and float on her own. Then started paddling to try to swim between us. Despite being scared, she just went for it. She is so remarkable and inspiring. I have no excuse to not be just as brave as she is.

I am not sure who needs to hear this. At 42, I still deal with imposter syndrome. Asking for help can, sometimes, be such a challenge. There is no silver bullet to get rid of this. Just keep rocking you and know that you are not an imposter, and you deserve to be doing what you are doing. 😊

I still haven’t watched the SOTU yet, but I’m excited for what I’ve seen teased during the keynote. I’m really excited to play around with Xcode 13 and Swift Playgrounds. This looks like it’s gonna be a fun WWDC week.

These last few hours before the WWDC keynote always feel like that time on Christmas morning waiting to get up and see what presents you get. Ready to see what new toys/features that we get to play with. 😃

Only getting to see it from the airport, but the weather in Lisbon, today, is gorgeous. 😃

Checked in and ready for the first leg of our flight. Obviously, a bit nervous traveling at the moment, but so looking forward to it. It’s been two years since we’ve been back to the States to visit family.

One of the perks of being a girl dad. Some excess polish washed off already, but she did a decent job for a three-year-old. 🥰 The glitter effect doesn’t show up as well in the photo, unfortunately. In case you are wondering, yes, I do have toes to match. 😂

Fancy nails

I was doing good with my journaling, with a little over 100 days consistently writing something. I realized, this afternoon, that I missed writing something yesterday. This made me a little sad that I broke my streak and I even considered back dating an entry. Then I decided not to. As much as I would love to have that streak back, I don’t want to be writing something just to have a streak. I want to journal to track memories. Having a long streak is really nice, but it shouldn’t be the reason for journaling.

Pretty sure that we left Emma’s backpack on the train Friday, while on our way home from Kita. First time that we’ve forgotten anything on public transportation. Hoping that we can get it back.
