Writing Challenge #100daystooffload
I was inspired to give this writing challenge a try after reading this post by Maique Madeira and comes from this challenge.
I always seem to fail at these types of challenges because of the pressure to finish without missing any days. With this challenge, it is more about just writing and posting at least 100 times in a year, instead of 100 consecutive days. It’s kind of late in the year already, but still enough time left to get close enough.
The one thing that I’m not sure about so far is how to tag these posts. I could tag every post that I make, as long as they are on separate days, or I could be specific about the types of posts. We’ll see what happens there, it may change a few times as I go along. The main thing is to make myself write.
So, I guess this is my obligatory first post for this challenge. I’m kind of a little excited to see how this turns out and if I truly have been inspired to write more.
Day 1 of 100 for my #100daystooffload
I think that this is great. EPB providing internet for students. EPB was still rolling out all of their fiber internet plans when I moved away from Chattanooga, but I knew that it would be great for the city. So awesome to see them giving back.
Giving light mode a try again since going all in on dark mode since it was released on iOS and macOS. With the sun making some big appearances this week it’s made it a bit easier to see the screens when in direct sunlight. It’s been kind of nice. Like visiting an old friend that you haven’t seen in over a year. 😂
You know that your 2 year old is not feeling well when she says no to chocolate and ice cream. 😔
I don’t know if anything will wake you up quicker than hearing that gag reflex from your sick daughter in the middle of the night. Especially when she’s cuddled next to you laying on your pillow. 😂🤢
Thankfully she didn’t get sick this time, but it was enough to upset her. 😔
One of the hardest things in being a parent is when your child is sick. It hurts to see her so miserable and I feel helpless that I can’t make it immediately better. 😔
One thing that I was really excited for was the ability to update existing accounts to use Sign In with Apple. I really hope that it is easy to introduce and that adoption will be quick.
I really enjoyed the WWDC keynote this year. It was really well done. Also, kudos to Apple for all of the new shiny that’s coming. The new macOS UI looks super nice. Can’t wait to give it all a whirl. 😃
Here we go. #WWDC2020
Happy Father’s Day to all the dads out there. Especially to those that are struggling today due to the loss of a child. You are not alone. ♥️
Things I never imagined saying to another person before having kids. Please don’t lay your face in the puddle of pee on the couch. 🤦♂️
One of those Sunday afternoons where you think you will take a quick nap and it turns into a four hour slumber fest. 🥱😴
Excited to dive into this book from D.A. Horton. 🙂
Watched the NASA SpaceX Dragon launch with our two year old daughter. She was so excited and thought it was cool seeing the rocket and astronauts. She then proceeded to run around the living room pretending to be an astronaut flying on a rocket.
Don’t ever stop dreaming and reaching for the stars baby girl. 😍
Waited up till 22:30 to watch the NASA SpaceX launch. Turned on the tv just in time to hear the announcement that the launch was scrubbed. 😭 Looking forward to Saturday to get to see it.
I’m so glad that our two year old has discovered the Find My app and can trigger the alert sounds on every device in the list. 😳
