I was doing good with my journaling, with a little over 100 days consistently writing something. I realized, this afternoon, that I missed writing something yesterday. This made me a little sad that I broke my streak and I even considered back dating an entry. Then I decided not to. As much as I would love to have that streak back, I don’t want to be writing something just to have a streak. I want to journal to track memories. Having a long streak is really nice, but it shouldn’t be the reason for journaling.

Pretty sure that we left Emma’s backpack on the train Friday, while on our way home from Kita. First time that we’ve forgotten anything on public transportation. Hoping that we can get it back.

I’ve been having some soreness in my ear this week, and it got bad yesterday along with a sinus headache. Shannon thinks I may have ruptured my eardrum. It’s more of an annoying pressure feeling now than pain, but making it hard to get comfortable. Not looking forward to calling the doctor, but I’m ready to get this sorted out.

I had to turn the M1 MBP test device back in at work today. The performance is really nice and the Xcode build times compared to my current 2017 MBP was amazing and spoiled me. However, the two things that I missed immediately were the instant on, when opening and unlocking the device, and the keyboard. Can’t wait until we actually have these available for upgrade and get to switch to it full time.

Mommy mommy mommy mommy. Daddy daddy daddy daddy. I think these are the only two words that Emma knows this week. Doesn’t even ask for anything. I think she just likes calling us to make sure we are paying attention to her. 😂🤪

We are a bit late to the party, but we finally got around to watching The Greatest Showman a few weeks ago. The movie was good and I enjoyed it. But I’m loving the soundtrack. I have been playing it a good bit ever since.

We got an M1 MacBook Pro at work as a test device and I’m getting to tinker with it. So far I’m really enjoying it. Having a few issues working in Xcode with our project, due to some dependencies. Running it in Rosetta fixes some of it at least.

Our daughter has a small cowlick in the front of her hair and it kind of swirls. It makes it challenging for me to brush. I made a comment about this to Shannon and Emma, whose 3, chimes in and tells me that I might need to read the instructions. 😂
