I have totally let this week slip by. December 5 marked 5 years working at trivago and living in Germany. While I was a developer before, this is my first iOS job. It has been a fun ride so far.

One thing is very obvious. I am not equipped to properly carve a turkey. 😂

How do you have an early Black Friday sale? Isn’t that just a sale on a Monday or Tuesday? If that’s possible, can today be an early Saturday so that we are already on the weekend?

Don’t judge me, but there may be Christmas music already playing in the house. 😬

Emma, 4, heard the phrase “Ooh la la” on one of her shows. She has been going around saying it all day. It is hilarious. I tried to say it and she then told me that it’s only for kids to say, not grown-ups. 😂

It has been nine years doing life, side by side, with this remarkable woman. I’m not sure how I got so lucky. Especially with all the corny jokes and comments that she has to put up with. I can’t wait to see what the next nine, and beyond, have in store.

I’ve never gone to a pumpkin patch before to pick pumpkins for Halloween. At least, I don’t remember it if I have. We took Emma today and it was so much fun. She enjoyed walking through the rows of pumpkins and picking one out. 🥰

This is such good advice. I have always felt like it’s not ok to ask in an interview. That if I needed to ask, then I didn’t know anything and wasn’t good enough for the position. Time to get rid of that thinking.

Just watched as my three-year-old daughter worked up the courage to let go of me in the pool and float on her own. Then started paddling to try to swim between us. Despite being scared, she just went for it. She is so remarkable and inspiring. I have no excuse to not be just as brave as she is.
